Artificial intelligence can develop games tailored to users of all ages and physical abilities. AI can also create more lifelike characters and respond to the player’s movements and actions. Some fun with AI uses neural networks to give the AI learning capability, allowing it to adapt to the player’s actions, mood, and environment. AI in games is also being developed to recognize in-game emotions such as frustration, confusion, boredom, and joy.
Chatbots and virtual assistants also assist gamers in discovering new games, sharing their experiences and ideas with other gamers, and connecting with their favorite game characters. The gaming industry is expected to reach $180 billion in revenue by 2021, a growth of 10% from last year.
However, not all of this revenue will come from the new consoles and PC games. Mobile gaming will account for around $100 billion, or about half of the total.
